Photocentric Excursion Report

Photocentric Excursion Report
Organized by FSU Photo Faculty

The graduate workshop team taught by FSU photo faculty went to Gainesville last week to interact with students and faculty from UF, UCF and USF.

We started off the outing with a lecture of New York Photographer Louise Lawler then proceeded to UF faculty Max and Andrea Home and Farm for a reception for Louise and weenie roast. Some of the students projected their images for an informal discussion. After camping on “the farm” we met with the students and faculty from the other Universities for a picture sharing event modeled after “speed dating” that is every one paired off and every ten minutes half of the folks would rotate to the next artist in line.

Later that afternoon we went back to the Harn for a private tour of the current photo exhibition by Thomas Southall, Chief curator of Photography.
